European Outdoor Film Tour 2024
Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime as the European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) 2024 is set to deliver another round of breathtaking, heart-pounding films. This year, it’s all about trails – the ones we leave behind, those that shape us, and the ones that keep drawing us back into nature. And there’s a twist: family. For the first time, EOFT highlights the adventures of families, adding a layer of warmth to the epic action.
The tour kicks off with its premiere on October 16, 2024, in Munich, followed by the Swiss premiere on October 17, 2024, in Zurich. With over 350 events planned across nine countries, EOFT 2024 is bringing the thrill to audiences far and wide.
Cycle of Bayanihan takes us along with pro mountain biker Samantha Soriano, who reconnects with her Filipino roots while riding some scenic trails. Armed with her bike and plenty of unanswered questions, Samantha finds a deeper connection with her family and a growing biking community along the way.
For Catalan climbing pro Edu Marín, adventure is all about family too. In Keep It Burning, Edu teams up with his 70-year-old father and brother to revive the legendary Eternal Flame route in the Karakoram. What ensues is not only a thrilling climbing expedition but also a journey of rediscovering family bonds amidst the towering peaks.
But that’s not all! From blind alpinist Erik Weihenmayer climbing the Sierra Nevada’s “Incredible Hulk” in Soundscape to two friends sailing through Scandinavia for six years on a raft they built themselves in To the Sea, EOFT 2024 is packed with stories that go beyond mere adrenaline. They’re about finding connections—to family, to nature, and to the unending spirit of adventure.
One for the adrenaline junkies, Anna introduces us to downhill skateboarder Anna Pixner, who races along winding roads at high speed, finding an unexpected sense of calm amidst the chaos.
And in Backyard, freeskier Nadine Wallner returns home to Arlberg to conquer five epic descents in one perfect day—a testament to the idea that sometimes, the greatest adventures are right in your own backyard.
The EOFT 2024 is a celebration of the human spirit, nature, and the bonds that tie us all together. With over 350 screenings across nine countries, it’s your chance to be a part of something unforgettable. Find more information and ticket details on the official EOFT website.
