Tof Henry – Remembering a Legendary Freerider and Big Mountain Skier

Tof Henry, a name synonymous with freeride skiing excellence, left an indelible mark on the world of extreme skiing. Hailing from the breathtaking slopes of Chamonix, France, Tof was a true maestro of the mountains, known for his fearless pursuits and unmatched passion for the sport.

Born and raised in Chamonix, Tof’s connection with the Alps ran deep. He grew up surrounded by the majestic peaks and pristine snow, which fueled his love for skiing from an early age. It wasn’t long before he became a local legend, mastering the challenging terrain that Chamonix had to offer.

Tof Henry’s skiing style was a mesmerizing blend of grace and audacity. He was a freeride pioneer, fearlessly tackling big mountain lines and capturing the hearts of skiing enthusiasts worldwide. A tireless explorer, Tof constantly seeked out untouched terrain and pushed the boundaries of what was deemed possible in freeride skiing. Tragically, Tof Henry’s life was cut short on October 11, 2023, when he and Juan Senoret were attempting to ski from the summit of the Putiagudo Volcano in the Los Lagos region in Chile, leaving a void in the freeride skiing world that can never be filled. He passed away doing what he loved most, skiing in the mountains he called home. Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on through the inspiration he provided and the memories he created on the snow-covered peaks of Chamonix and beyond.
