European Outdoor Film Tour 2023
Adventure, outdoor sports, and powerful emotions—the EOFT is coming soon! Along for the ride is Sophie Planque. The photojournalist sets out on a journey from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego on her bike; the outcome is a visually powerful epic that focuses on each moment with sensitivity and intensity. 972 Breakdowns is about the adventure of a lifetime. Five art students ride their Ural motorcycles through Russia, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia, to name just a few places, all the way to New York, perhaps creating a new art form in the process: The Breakdown Theater. Like any art form, this one fulfills an end in itself and illustrates that sometimes the journey truly is the destination.
Experience world-class alpine climbing in Triple Edge. Michi Wohlleben and Lukas Hinterberger celebrate an alpinistic world first on the Salbitschijen (2985m), and in the mountain bike film The Nine Wheels, a Swiss family refuses to surrender to their fate and instead shows how uniting together inspires hope and surmounts limitations.
Following the German premiere on 11 October 2023 at the Alte Kongresshalle in Munich, the program can be seen at more than 350 events in nine countries. The total running time is around 120 minutes. With moderation and additional activities,
each event lasts approximately two and a half to three hours.
